JLG Forklift Parts - Following retirement in the late 1960's, John L. Grove embarked on on a cross country RV trip. After spending many years establishing his family built crane company with his brother, John had no idea that this trip would bring about the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision materials handling technologies was the end result of a road expedition.

While on their trip, John spent time talking to former business associates whom the Groves stopped to see along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic occurrence-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were visiting Hoover Dam- John uncovered an infinite marketplace for a product that could quickly and safely elevate people in the air to accomplish maintenance and other construction functions.

After their return from holiday, John set up a partnership with two of his friends and bought a metal fabricating company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Opening with a small crew of twenty workers, they produced and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The business incorporates many of the simple design elements of that original lift into existing versions.

JLG forklifts have come a ways from the time when Mr. John L. Grove came back to town from his cross-country road trip and since the initial aerial work platform debuted on the market. At present, the business proudly continues to expand itself into various marketplaces globally and develops new products to ensure customers are capable of being more effective and perform in the workplace within a safer environment.
